Florida Marketing Firm Leaks Sensitive Info of 340 Million People

It was revealed this week that a Florida-marketing company called Exactis may have compromised the personal data of 340 million people by inadvertently leaving a server publicly accessible.

Discovered by security researcher Vinny Troia of Night Lion Security, the server had apparently contained two terabytes worth of personal data which sat unprotected for an undetermined length of time.

Exactis data breach is expected to be one of the largest in recent history should the leak estimates be confirmed to be accurate.
