06 Apr Facebook’s New Privacy Rules Break Tinder
A number of users reported that they were not able to log into popular dating app Tinder last Wednesday after Facebook had initiated a number of sweeping changes to its privacy rules.
The Tinder app went into a cycle of login errors after Facebook tightened its restrictions on third-party apps. A Facebook representative said that they are already working on the issue with Tinder.
However, the new rules that will restrict third-party apps from accessing a user’s personal information on Facebook is expected to have far-reaching consequences for other developers like Tinder that heavily rely on data provided by the social network.
