19 Dec Facebook to Test “History-Clearing” Privacy Tool in 2019
Facebook announced this week that it has developed a tool that can be used to clear one’s browsing history on the platform.
The feature, called “clear history”, would allow users to delete all apps and websites they’ve interacted with from their account. The tool is set to be launched next year, but the company said it will start testing Spring 2019.
David Baser, Facebook’s director of product management and privacy and data use team head, says building the tool on a platform with 2.3 billion users was not easy, and they needed to build a new way of their systems to process information so they can instantaneously give users the ability to control it.
