27 Nov Facebook Shares Privacy Ideas to Pakistan for New Privacy Law
Facebook’s APAC Privacy and Public Policy Manager Arianne Jimenez recently shared insights on privacy with experts at a Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) conference last Thursday.
The country, which is moving closer to making a new privacy law, is seeking public comments for its Personal Data Protection Bill 2018.
Jimenez said that the law should not be too open to abuse, nor be draconian for the industry, and it should not be a choice between privacy and economic growth, because both are achievable simultaneously.
