Facebook Says Cambridge Analytica Did Not Handle EU Data

Stephen Satterfield, a privacy policy director at Facebook told EU lawmakers this week that they have not found any indications that EU user data had been shared with Cambridge Analytica.

Facebook vice president of policy solutions Richard Allan added that said that the Cambridge Analytica researcher involved in the fiasco was only instructed to collect data of Americans to use in US political campaigns.

Allan added that while most of the people who installed Kogan’s app were Americans, some European data might still have been collected. However, Kogan only delivered Americans’ data since it was the only thing the UK consultancy firm wanted.
