16 Oct Facebook Admits 30 Million Impacted in Breach
Facebook revealed last Friday that around 30 million users had been impacted by the breach that hit the social network in September.
This number is around 20 million fewer than what the company had previously announced. However, it is said that 14 million had their names, contact details and sensitive information such as their gender, relationship status and recent location check-ins exposed. Meanwhile, 15 million users had their names and contact information compromised and 1 million solely had their access tokens stolen.
Users who think their information had been involved in the breach may visit a page Facebook created for the security incident.
