01 Jan Expert Predicts US Privacy Law in 2019
In a recent interview, Robert W. Baird and Co.’s Colin Sebastian said that it is likely for the US to come up with its own privacy law in 2019 since most of the dominant tech companies in the country already support it.
He said that such a law could be a likely bipartisan outcome and may even benefit companies like Google and Facebook as it will give their users more confidence in how the companies are using their data. Sebastian said that they Facebook is still one of their top stock picks for 2019.
Similarly, MKM Partners’ Rob Sanderson also said they are positive about Facebook because at the end of the day, users still get a lot of value from the services the company provides, most of the time for free.
