02 Sep Essential to Offer Free LifeLock Subscription for Privacy Blunder
After the very recent data leak blunder that smartphone maker Essential found itself in, CEO Andy Rubin announced that the startup will be offering its customers a one year free subscription to LifeLock, which is a service that claims to protect a user from identity theft.
Some customers felt that this wasn’t enough to cover for the privacy mishap, with a few saying that LifeLock doesn’t really do anything. Rubin however did say that the company may send out free phones as additional compensation.
