30 Nov Dunkin Donuts Warn Customers of Possible Data Misuse
Earlier this week, Dunkin Donuts alerted its customers registered to the DD Perks Rewards program that their personal data might have been accessed by a hacker last month.
The company clarified that the incident was not a breach, but rather a credential stuffing attack where credentials obtained from other breaches were used to log into certain DD Perks accounts.
Dunkin says that some of the hacker’s attempts might have succeeded, which is why it alerted its customers. The company added that after the attack last October 31, it had to force a password reset and replaced impacted DD Perks account numbers and value cards.
