24 Jan DuckDuckGo Launches Revamped Mobile Apps, Includes Privacy Features Suite
Last Tuesday, DuckDuckGo announced that it has included a tracker blocker and a number of other privacy features in its revamped line of mobile apps and browser extensions for Android, iOS, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
CEO Gabe Weinberg says that the company’s goal ever since was to be the standard of trust online, and while it is complicated to compete with Google on their core market, they are making progress in their vision to provide better protection for users on the Internet.
Weinberg says that the tracker blocker, which runs on open source technology, is performing as expected. It is still also being developed further to increase compatibility with a lot more websites.
