DHS Subpoenas Twitter for Breach Finder’s Identity

The Department of Homeland Security recently served Twitter with a subpoena and demanded for the account details of a user who regularly tweets information on leaked data from exposed servers.

It was reported that Twitter had already informed the user who goes by the handle “Flash Gordon” of the subpoena served by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE demanded in the subpoena identifying information including screen name, address, phone number, and credit card details, even IP address history, member lists, and any complaints filed against the Twitter account.

It was not clear however, why the DHS subpoenaed Flash Gordon, but the user said that it may have had something to do with his discovery of law enforcement data.
