22 Aug Data Privacy Now Top Priority of Philippine Companies, NPC Chief Says
NPC head Raymund Enriquez Liboro said this week that data privacy and protection has now become a top priority for a growing number of companies in the Philippines.
Liboro also reported that 22,816 data protection officers have already registered with his agency, while 2,939 personal information controllers and personal information processors have completed listing their organization’s data processing systems.
Speaking at the pre-event press conference of the upcoming Data Privacy Asia 2018, Liboro said that they were able to successfully raise the awareness of all stakeholders and cited corporations such as Jollibee and Wendy’s as good examples of organizations that prioritize the protection of their customers’ vital information.
