04 Sep Data Breach Hits International Clothing Chain in Brazil
A hacker by the name of @joshua from the Fatal Error Crew had reportedly published on Pastebin the sensitive information of C&A customers that had been leaked by an attack on the company’s Brazil operations.
@joshua had apparently exposed the data of around 36,000 customers, including information such as ID numbers and email addresses, amount loaded into their C&A gift cards, order number and data of purchase.
The clothing chain confirmed that it had detected a “cyberattack movement” in its gift card and exchange system last Thursday and said that it immediately took action on the situation.
