03 Apr Data Breach Affecting Millions Hits Saks, Lord & Taylor
It was revealed last Sunday that millions of Hudson Bay payment cards used at Saks and Lord & Taylor may have been compromised which could possibly become one of the biggest breaches over the past year.
Retailer Hudson’s Bay Co on Sunday disclosed that had they been hit by an attack which may have been carried out by a hacking group known as JokerStash. Security firm Gemini says that the criminal group is planning to release more than 5 million stolen credit cards. Around 125,000 payment cards had already been released, and it appears that 75% may have been from Hudson Bay’s units.
The company says that customers will not be liable for fraudulent charges, and those who had been impacted will be offered free identity protection services.
