D-Link Cameras Not Secure, Consumer Report Says

Consumer Reports recently warned that the D-Link DCS-2630L may not be secure as a flaw allows the transmission of unencrypted video footage online.

The issue is partly caused by the camera’s use of its onboard server which delivers the video feed via the MydlinkLite App or the direct web server. The camera does not by default store footage on encrypted servers.

While Consumer Reports says that it hasn’t yet found any evidence that the bug had been exploited, there is still an issue with the device.
