D-ID Launches Anti-Facial Recognition Tech at TechCrunch Disrupt 2018

At the recently held TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2018, Israeli tech company D-ID launched a product that prevents facial recognition tech from identifying people in photographs or videos.

The technology is sold as a SaaS and On-Premise solution to organizations that store photos and videos such as cloud storage providers, financial institutions, social networks, health organizations and governments that want to protect their biometric databases.

D-ID CEO and co-founder Gil Perry also remarked that the industry may have moved too fast with facial recognition technology to the point where it now threatens an individual’s fundamental human right to privacy.
