30 Sep Cyber Security Should be Based on Data According to UK Cyber Security Centre
In the 2017 Wired Security Conference that was held in London, The United Kingdom’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) announced that cybersecurity should be data-driven and not based on fear.
NCSC technical director Ian Levy said in the conference that the impact of organizations’ actions should be measurable. He stated that this approach is applied in the National Cyber Security Strategy that follows a pragmatic approach to cyber security.
The NCSC has launched a number of programs in congruence to its program Active Cyber Defence (ACD), that aims to deal with a large chunk of cyberattacks in the UK.
