Customers Dissatisfied with Ads, Lack of Privacy in Social Media, Study Shows

The latest data from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) 2018 E-Business Report showed that privacy concerns, bots, and toxic online discourse are some of the major factors contributing to the dissatisfaction of users in social media.

However, users say that they are even more dissatisfied with the amount of advertising on social media sites than with the lack of privacy protections, said David VanAmburg, Managing Director at ACSI.

The ACSI data also showed that Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter have the least satisfied users in social media, while Pinterest and YouTube were able to improve their customer satisfaction score this year.
