Crypto Startup Vows to Reimagine Data Privacy and Monetization Using Blockchain Technology

A startup named SwipeCrypto recently promised to use blockchain technology to address the current data privacy problems brought to light by Facebook’s scandal.

The startup said that it is building a decentralized data privacy and monetization platform on top of the Ethereum platform which should give users control over what they can disclose and incentivizes them for providing accurate data.

SWIPE says that behavioural, interest, transactional and demographic data can be collected using their SDK, with the consent of the user. This will be encrypted using SWIPE’s data sharing and privacy protocol which allows full personal ownership of one’s data which can safely be released on the open market in real-time for other participants such as developers, market research firms and other data buyers.
