Comcast Exposes Data of 26 Million Customers

Security researcher Ryan Stevenson reportedly found this week a number of flaws in Comcast’s online customer portal which exposed the partial home addresses and Social Security numbers of around 26 million Xfinity customers.

Stevenson added that the flaws were easy to exploit, However, Comcast said that they have immediately patched the issue and said that they have found no evidence that the exposed information had been used against their customers.

The provider added that reports saying that 26 million customers had been affected by the issue were inaccurate.
