24 Dec CHR Implores Public to Protect Child’s Privacy in Bullying Incident
The Commission on Human Rights called on the public this week to protect the privacy of children involved in bullying reports.
The CHR issued an advisory on its website, citing provisions from RA 10627 or the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, which was passed in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The statement was made in relation to a video involving an Ateneo de Manila student beating up several boys that went viral last week.
Children’s rights group Save the Children likewise urged the public to protect the privacy of the students involved in the video.
