09 Nov CCTV Users May Risk Violating GDPR
Andrew Charlesworth, a reader in IT Law at the University of Bristol, recently issued a warning to organizations that use CCTVs that they may unknowingly be breaching GDPR requirements.
In his white paper ‘Watching the Watchers’, Charlesworth said that the lack of regulations governing CCTVs may have caused users to be unprepared for the rules on safe usage under the GDPR.
Cloudview CEO James Wickes advised CCTV users to assess their systems and reminded that the law applies to all kinds of monitoring cameras.
