18 Sep CBI Seeks Answers From Facebook Over Cambridge Analytica Scandal
India’s Central Bureau of Investigation had reportedly written to Facebook, Cambridge Analytica and Global Science Research regarding the illegal collection of data from Indian users on the platform.
The investigative agency asked the organizations to provide the details of data collection exercise that they have adapted. The CBI had already initiated a preliminary inquiry against Cambridge Analytica and Global Science Research last month to confirm whether the allegations warrant a full-blown investigation.
