British Airways Hack Bigger Than First Estimates

British Airways revealed this week that its estimates of the number of people that had been affected by its breach is actually bigger, and that a further 185,000 customers may have had their information stolen.

The UK carrier said that hackers behind the attack may have gained access to an additional 77,000 payment card records including information such as names, billing addresses, email addresses, along with payment information including card numbers, expiry dates, and CVV numbers linked to each card. However, the airlines said that passport and details were not affected by the leak.
