Box to Offer GDPR Compliance Services

Cloud storage company Box recently announced that they will be offering new services aimed to help customers comply with upcoming European privacy laws this year.

Box will be launching an electronic self-service addendum with all the approved legal data processing mechanisms required by the GDPR which customers can submit to third-party auditors for verification. The company will also be introducing a consultation service to help customers understand the compliance requirements from a cloud content management perspective.

Claiming to be the only company using Global Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) both as processor and data controller, Box will also offer services which European companies can avail to deploy a validated cloud environment in accordance with EU data protection standards.
