18 Sep Bipartisan Data Group Draft Standards to Prevent Voter Data Misuse
A bipartisan group composed of data firms have recently drafted a set of industry standards which seek to prevent voter data misuse.
The guidelines are said to cover issues on transparency, foreign influence, responsible data sourcing and storage, and other measures that will help fend off security threats and root out bad actors.
The group, which was organized by Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, brings together Republican firms which include DeepRoot Analytics, WPA Intelligence, and Targeted Victory, as well as Democratic ones such as Bully Pulpit Interactive, NGP VAN, and DSPolitical.
