19 Jan Axciom Supports Tim Cook’s Call for Privacy Regulation
Axciom, one of the largest data brokers in the US, recently issued a statement in support of Tim Cook’s call for regulation similar to the EU’s GDPR.
The firm even said that it wanted “nefarious players” in the industry rooted out and stressed that its data privacy impact assessment (DPIA) process ensures it doesn’t do business with questionable companies.
It was said that Axciom’s endorsement of Cook’s recent statements is particularly notable since the Apple
CEO urged the FTC to require data brokers such as Axciom to give consumers more power over their data and even allow their data to be deleted “once and for all”.
