Australian Bureau of Statistics Seeks Privacy Help

Australia’s Bureau of Statistics recently published a Request for Tender (RFT) and announced that it was seeking the assistance of external parties with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), non-legal privacy advice, and privacy-related training.

The ABS says that with regards to conducting PIAs, it specifically needs help in the identification of the personal information flows in projects and activities.

The vendor should also be able to provide advice with regards to compliance with the Privacy Act of 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles, and other privacy legislation such as the Notifiable Data Breach Scheme.
