24 May Apple Launches New Data, Privacy Tools Ahead of GDPR
Apple had recently launched its updated Data and Privacy tools to help Apple users download a copy of the apps and services data the company holds on them. The move is seen as another effort for the company to comply with the strict requirements of EU’s GDPR.
Customers can access their data, which may include purchase or app usage history and data stored with Apple, such as calendars, photos or documents, by signing into their Apple ID account page, the scrolling down to Data and Privacy and selecting ‘Manage your data’.
The phonemaker says that the complete set of self-service data and privacy tools is currently available to users in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, but will also be rolled out to customers around the world in the coming months.
