30 Mar Apple CEO Takes Potshot at Facebook
In an interview last Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook criticized Facebook’s data privacy practices and was quoted saying “I wouldn’t be in this situation”.
Cook said that Apple had always been against putting the detailed profiles of people online. He commented that the company can make a ton of money if it made customers its product, but they elected not to do it.
Cook added that the best kind of regulation is self-regulation and encouraged users to take matters in their own hands by taking measures such as browsing in private mode and blocking cookies.
