23 Jan All Passport Data Safe, DFA Assures
The Department of Foreign Affairs officially said this week that all passport data are safe and in the control and custody of the agency.
Assuring the National Privacy Commission, the DFA said that it is extremely seriously about the protection of the personal information of the public and that all passport data have not been shared or accessed by an unauthorized party.
The DFA’s DPO and Assistant Secretary Medardo Macaraig, Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Neil Frank Ferrer, and other officials had already discussed with the NPC the details on the passport process and how personal data of passport applicants are being protected.
