17 Mar 7 Eleven Thailand to Introduce Facial Recognition in 11,000 Stores
7 Eleven is reportedly bringing AI-powered facial recognition and behavior analysis technologies to 11,000 of its stores in Thailand.
The technology, developed by US company Remark Holdings, will be used to analyze in-store traffic, identify loyalty members, monitor product levels, even suggest products and measure customer emotions.
Remark has a number of data partnerships in China with companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu, along with multimillion dollar contracts for the use of its object-recognition software and AI in Guizhou and Shanghai.
