Walmart Sued for Using Customer Personal Data Online

Two customers filed a complaint this week against Walmart for allegedly disclosing their personal information online without their consent.

A class action suit was filed by Alicia Capello and Catherine Mosqueda who say that the retail giant violated US and California rules pertaining to privacy when obtaining video materials. The plaintiffs said that Walmart shared their data to Facebook via an ad tool called Facebook pixel on its website.

In response, Walmart said that they are unable to comment on the matter as of the moment since they had just received it. However, the company assured that they are reviewing the accusations and will respond in court as appropriate.
