10 Million Accounts Compromised in 2017 Dixons Carphone Breach

British electronics retailer Dixons Carphone revealed this week that around 10 million accounts may have been affected by the cyber attack that hit the company in 2017.

The company initially said that 1.2 million records containing non-financial personal data, such as names, addresses or email addresses, had been accessed by the hacker.

CEO Alex Baldock issued an apology last Tuesday and said that their investigation into the matter was almost complete. However, it was already the second major cyberattack on the company within three years.
