28 Aug WikiLeaks Says CIA has Access to Aadhaar Information
Last week, a geopolitics-focused publication reported that data in India’s Aadhaar, the world’s largest biometric ID system, may have been compromised by UIDAI’s tech provider, Cross Match Technologies.
WikiLeaks is alleging that the CIA is using technology developed by the provider called ExpressLane, which was reported to have been used to spy on the FBI and NSA.
India’s government, however, denied the claims, saying that the reports have no basis and that no other agency has access to Aadhaar data.
