20 Sep Wife of COMELEC Chief to Testify in Impeachment Hearing
Patricia Bautista, the estranged wife of COMELEC Chair Andres Bautista, is set to testify in the impeachment hearing this Wednesday at the House of Representatives.
The COMELEC chief is being accused of violating the Data Privacy Act for the leakage of voter information last 2016. He is also facing charges for amassing unexplained wealth amounting to 1 billion pesos.
However, House justice committee chair Reynaldo Umali says that the impeachment case might be dismissed for being insufficient in form.
