Users May Unknowingly Be Sharing Their Data When Buying Tickets Online

Reports earlier this week revealed that Amazon is looking into rolling out its own online ticketing service.

Several online tech publications have speculated that this may be due to the fact that venues and companies like Ticketmaster is going after Amazon’s customer data. While Ticketmaster currently has a near-monopoly on ticketing, given the current US scenario, experts say that Amazon can challenge this dominance by letting event companies sell on their platform, in addition to just ticket selling.

However, Ticketmaster is not known to have sold data, as unlike companies such as Amazon that has sold data to advertisers even before.
