13 Mar Thailand Improves Global IT Ranking
According to the Software Alliance (BSA), Thailand has made significant steps up the IT economy ladder this year, rising from 21st to 19th out of 24.
In its 2018 Global Cloud Computing Scorecard, BSA said that the country went up the rankings due to improvements in its cybercrime and intellectual property laws.
The BSA scorecard ranks a country’s preparedness for the adoption and growth of cloud computing services using a methodology that better reflects the policies that puts emphasis on privacy, cybersecurity laws and broadband infrastructure. Despite finding that advanced privacy and security policies set leading countries apart from lagging markets, BSA says that a number of countries have yet to adopt adequate privacy laws.
