14 Feb Singapore, Global Companies Still Unprepared for GDPR
According to EY’s latest Global Forensic Data Analytics Survey, Singaporean and other global organizations are still largely unprepared for EU new data privacy rules which is set to take effect in May this year.
The survey asked 745 executives from 19 countries, with 40 from Singapore. Only 33% of global respondents said that their organizations had compliance plans in place. The number was even lower for Africa and the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, with 27%, 13%, and 12% respectively.
Reuben Khoo, EY Asean Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services leader, additionally revealed that the number was only 10% for Singapore.
EY said that the findings in their report established how increased adoption of, and spending on advanced FDA technologies, needs to be matched with greater investment in skilled resources.
