06 Mar Singapore Banks a Top Adopter of Fingerprint, Voice Biometrics
A recent survey showed that Singapore banks is a global leader in adopting fingerprint and voice recognition tools, ahead of China, Australia, and the UK.
The report by Forrester which polled 315 financial companies across 5 major global markets says that as much as 61% of financial services and fintech companies in Singapore use fingerprint biometrics, while 56% for voice recognition technologies.
However, Australia is leading in terms of adopting facial recognition, while China has been the “most consistently competitive” among the countries in using social media and behavioural monitoring for customer identity authentication.
