29 Dec Shady Security Firm Involved in China’s First Cybersecurity Innovation Center
Earlier this week, it was announced that a company called 360 Enterprise Security Group, also known as Qihoo 360, will be involved in China’s first cybersecurity innovation center which was opened last Tuesday.
Established by the Central Commission for Integrated Military and Civilian Development with various military bodies, the center aims to leverage civil-military integration for the country’s cyber defenses. However, the 360 Enterprise Security Group, which will be operating the center, had recently been making headlines in the cybersecurity sector, not only for assisting the FBI with a case, but also for live streaming feed from consumer surveillance cameras on its Shuidi platform.
Qihoo had already shut down the service, but not without escaping public criticism.
