Recent Study Finds Gen Z Most Concerned About Social Media Privacy

A recent report by Kantar Media called Social Media Trends 2018 established that Gen Z users are most protective of their personal data online.

The demographic, which includes users born between 1995 and 2012, are more likely to use ad blockers, use online aliases, use apps such as Vaulty to hide their images and videos, and use incognito social networks like Sarahah, Anonyfish, and Minds.com.

Kantar also found out that 32% of 16-24 year olds say that they do not want to use mobile payments. Overall, the research results seem to suggest that young people have become increasingly self-censoring, risk averse and socially rigid.
