18 Aug Personal Data Space Companies Digi.me and Personal Scheduled to Complete Merger
Tech reports earlier this week revealed a merger between UK’s Digi.me and US’ Personal. According to Digi.me founder and chairman Julian Ranger, the union of the two personal data control companies should accelerate combined product growth and grow their network of partners. The resulting company, still named “digi.me”, promises to deliver seamless management of different types of data with support from the industry’s leading data normalization and structured data ontology technology.
The combined business will have its global headquarters in London, while US operations will be located in Washington DC.
Some of the company’s investors include prominent names such as SwissRe, the Omidyar Network, TCS Capital Management, Planetary Holdings, Revolution Ventures, Allen & Company, Ted Leonsis and Esther Dyson.
