19 Nov NPC Urges Compliance to Data Privacy Law at Finance Event
At a recently held forum hosted by the Management Association of the Philippines and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce, National Privacy Commissioner Raymund Enriquez Liboro urged the government and private sector to make greater efforts to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Liboro urged attendees to build a “culture of privacy” to avoid negligence, and asked management representatives to come up with a data protection office, privacy impact assessment, privacy management program, and privacy, data protection and breach procedures.
Reginald Ezeh, a partner and data scientist at a US-based data analytics firm, and CEO of Credit Information Corp. Jaime Castro Jose Garchitorena also spoke at the event.
