24 May NPC to Launch Online Risk Awareness Campaign
The National Privacy Commission is set to launch a campaign seeking to raise awareness on how Filipinos might be placing their information at risk through online services.
The Commission said that their “PSST” or Privacy, Safety, Security and Trust online campaign which will run for one year will serve as a call-out on the hazards of netizens’ bad online habits and behaviors. It will also offer friendly suggestions and reminders on how to be a responsible Filipino social media citizen.
The NPC will also be holding a National Data Privacy Conference this month where it will be launching development programs for data privacy officers, the multi-sectoral Data Privacy Council, and the Privacy Compliance Sweep.
