17 Apr New Study Show Americans Deleting Their Facebook Accounts
A recent study from research firm Techpinions showed that one in ten users in the US are leaving Facebook prompted by privacy concerns raised by recent issues such as the one involving Cambridge Analytica.
In a survey of 1000 Americans, around 17% said that they had already deleted the Facebook app from their phones while 11% had deleted it from their other devices. 9% responded that they completely closed their accounts due to concerns regarding privacy.
In numbers, this means that out of the 214 million Facebook users in the US, 36.38 million people had already deleted the mobile app and 19.26 million deleted their accounts.
