27 Feb New Social Platform Sees Rapid Adoption Due to Facebook Fatigue
A new social network platform called Vero recently reported a surge in signups during the weekend which caused its servers in the UK to slow down.
With its slogan “less social media, more social life”, Vero is positioning itself as an alternative for users who have gotten weary of Facebook and Snapchat’s ad targeting. Instead of using algorithms to target users, it charges merchants who wish to sell via their “buy now” feature.
A company spokesperson revealed that the app had been able to go from 19th to 3rd on the U.S. iTunes Social Networking charts, and added that it will be waiving its annual subscription fee for life for its first 1 million subscribers.
