11 Nov MyInfo Promises Singaporeans Less Hassle When Providing Data for Transactions
In support of Singapore’s efforts for its Smart Nation initiative, a service called MyInfo launched a new portal to provide the private sector with resources which they can use for the integration of their digital services.
The service aims to provide the country’s consumers with a faster and more efficient way of filling out personal details for various transactions. It was launched in May 2016 and has already gotten around 200,000 sign-ups to date. The service was already being used in several government portals, but it was only last Friday that a portal for local businesses was opened.
Govtech government chief information officer Mr. Chan Cheow Hoe said that the service will help businesses do away with traditional paper-based filing and manual encoding. It should also significantly increase productivity due to improved security and accuracy.
