23 Mar Mark Zuckerberg Issues Statement on Facebook Privacy Scandal
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg finally spoke last Wednesday on the data privacy scandal involving his company and Cambridge Analytica.
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg explained that an academic had collected the data from the platform in line with Facebook’s policy. However, the data was later passed on to third party firms including Cambridge Analytica, which violates Facebook’s policy.
Zuckerberg further revealed that the company will be limiting developer access to Facebook data, and a tool which will help users to revoke access of apps to their data will be provided next month.
