26 Sep Malaysian Experts Consider iPhone’s Face ID a Plus for Privacy
In a recent interview, several Malaysian cybersecurity experts shared their thoughts on the iPhone’s Face ID technology, and why they consider it to be a move forward in terms of privacy and security.
Dr. Amirudin of CyberSecurity Malaysia says that biometric technology is already fairly difficult to hack, and by using advanced technology, Apple’s Face ID will be even more difficult to do so. Meanwhile, Azril Rahim thinks the phone’s security technology excels at the hardware, software, and Score level, and considers it a breakthrough in using face detection for control and authenticity.
Krishna Rajagopal additionally said that most importantly, the Face ID reduces “security friction” and keeps things simple for users so that they do not feel like they have to go through hurdles to secure their device.
